I imagine most of you have read a lot about the Marina Abramovic exhibit at MOMA, more than enough. You probably read Arthur Danto’s piece about sitting with Abramovic in the NYT last week. That essay got a lot of response from the general public, questions about the validity of the work. This week Danto answers some of those questions, in a thoughtful Q&A style entry that attempts to describe contemporary art and performance art in a way that we don’t see very often.
