I’m going with our art student’s club next month. I can’t hardly wait, either.
Don’t have much to add to this, except a general kind of fist pump for Munch. I’m glad for him that that scream painting keeps his name in the widest circle (i.e., the mona lisa and sunflowers level of cultural awareness, etc), but it’s always my hope that people look further than that, to see the breadth and depth and inventiveness of his output. In spite of so many people knowing who he is, I usually think of him as an underrated painter.
